I am working at an international school in Hong Kong.

I joined International College Hong Kong after I graduated my PGDE, major in SEN from HKU. My SENCo, Douglas Kidd who suggested me that to create an online community for sharing info with parents and educators who are interested in SEN in Hong Kong. When I started my job, there were only 4 learner support assistants (LSAs), SENCo and myself in the department. By the end of last year, there were about 9 LSAs and by the end of this year, there will be 15 LSAs. You can imagine how much my department has grown and the number of students with SEN has tremendously increased. However, I am so proud and enjoy a lot working at ICHK.

My daily job routine is quite similar to other SEN teachers, such as check-in with students, provide in-class support, 1-to-1classes, small group teaching, write and update IEPs... The best bit of my job is, my school gives me a lot of freedom and space to create and achieve what I am interested. Last week, I had an opportunity to visit different NGOs, local & Special schools, centres in Hong Kong.

Therefore, this website will be sharing projects that I do in my school, different experiences and resources. I truly hope this can be a sharing platform for everyone. Hope you keep following!

Thanks for reading! With LOVE, Sammi
